FAQ'S

Q: WHAT ARE THE START-UP COSTS?
A: @realty does not have a start-up cost. Most people choose to purchase business cards and brochures to promote themselves, this is completely up to you.

Q: ARE THERE LOCKED IN CONTRACTS, JOINING FEES ETC.?

A: @realty does not have any of these things, it is purely month to month our belief is if you are not happy then you should have the freedom to move on.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DATABASE AND LISTINGS IF I DO LEAVE?

A: If you leave @realty for any reason it clearly states in our agreements that you are able to take your database and active listings with you, any thing that is under contract @realty will continue to work with you to completion of that contract and you will get paid your commissions just like before. @realty will help you with your transition, you do not have to deplete your stock or go broke trying to leave.

 


Q: WHY IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN COMMISSIONS,

I.E. 85% AND 93%?
A: The difference in commissions is due to the tax that @realty has to pay to the Office of State Revenue. If you are classified as an employee and are on the 85% structure, @realty is required to pay payroll tax and workers compensation to the Office of State Revenue in the relevant state or territory you operate in.


 
Q: HOW DO I QUALIFY TO BE ON THE 93% COMMISSION STRUCTURE?
A: You will need to be a fully Licenced Real Estate Agent with a registered ABN or incorporated.


 
Q: ARE THERE ANY @REALTY REGULATIONS OR GUIDELINES THAT I NEED TO FOLLOW?
A: @realty does have branding & marketing guidelines set in place to make sure all the branding and marketing is consistent.
 


Q: AM I GIVEN A TERRITORY TO WORK IN?
A: @realty does not believe in restricting sales associates to territories. You should be able to work anywhere your contacts are and your network reaches.
 


Q:  WHO TAKES CARE OF THE MARKETING?
A: @realty liaises with marketing suppliers for you. We have established working relationships with different suppliers that we believe offer great value. However, if you have particular suppliers you deal with you can continue working with those suppliers when you join @realty. @realty’s in-house marketing and graphic design department will also design templates for your signs, brochures and other marketing materials.

Q: WHAT OTHER WEBSITES DOES @REALTY ADVERTISE LISTINGS ON?
A: @realty sales associates can upload their standard listings for free onto:

- atrealty.com.au

- listglobally (102+ international websites)

We also advertise on realestate.com.au - but their standard listings do have a fee.

Q: WHAT IS THE LEAD TIME TO GET THINGS UNDERWAY AND ABLE TO COMMENCE?

A: It is completely up to you, we will work to your time schedule.

Q: IS THE INDEPENDENT INDEMNITY INSURANCE PAID BY THE AGENT OR ARE AGENTS COVERED UNDER @REALTY?

A: You are covered by @realty, but if our insurer declines you for any reason, you would need to get your own. To date, this has not happened.

Q: WHAT IS THE MONTHLY AFFILIATION FEE AND WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?

A: The monthly affiliation fee is $250+GST per month. This covers Professional Indemnity Insurance, Public Liability, Research Data (Price Finder), Online Advertising, Marketing, Contracts, Electronic Letter Templates, Electronic Stationery, Special Conditions Wording for Contracts, Customer Relations Management, Legal Advice, @realty Proprietary Software, Property Tree (if required), Contract Negotiations

Q: ARE WE ABLE TO OFFER UPGRADES FOR ONLINE ADVERTISING?

A: Yes, you can offer your vendors upgrades. Each suburb and house type may be a different price, which you can confirm the price through our software before completing a marketing campaign for your vendor.

Q: ARE WE ABLE TO LIST COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES?

A: Yes, we have an account on realcommercial.com.au

Q: IS IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE A CUSTOMISED MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR EACH OF OUR VENDORS?

A: Yes, the Marketing Department have a marketing campaign booklet which is available for agents to customise with their details and different campaign options that the agent is wanting to provide their vendors.

Q: WHEN ADVERTISING IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA, THE REGISTERED LAND AGENT IS NEEDED ON ANY MARKETING, DOES @REALTY HAVE THEIR OWN RLA NUMBER OR DO AGENTS HAVE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN?

A: @realty has an RLA number, but if an agent has their own and is wanting it to be on the marketing, we can put both RLA numbers on.

Q: WHEN PERFORMING ADVERTISING, DOES THE AGENT HAVE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN ARTWORK, OR IS THERE SOMEONE IN HEAD OFFICE TO HELP?

A: The Marketing Department can create all your marketing needs; signboards, brochures, letterbox drops, car signage, office stationery, social media tiles and cover pages. This is all covered in your monthly affiliation fees. If you do get any artwork done outside of the Marketing Department, you must send through the artwork through for the Marketing Department to approve all branding and information is correct before proceeding with printing or publishing.

Q: ARE AGENTS ALLOWED TO OPEN THEIR OWN AGENCY SHOP FRONT?

A: Agents can open a shop front, but it cannot be @realty branded. This is something that head office and the agent needs to discuss prior to the shop front opening.

Q: ARE AGENTS ALLOWED TO LEASE OR USE A SMALL OFFICE SPACE?

A: Yes, Agents can have a small office space, they can place @realty signage inside the office, but no @realty signage can be displayed externally​
